TONIGHT’S GUNS N' ROSES SHOW IN PORTLAND, MAINE IS CANCELLED

From: Sanctuary Management

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

Tonight's show at the Cumberland County Civic Center has been cancelled due to limitations imposed by local fire marshals.

A band spokesperson commented, "Axl and the band are very unhappy about not being able to play for the fans in Portland but have been advised after several meetings with local fire marshals Nelson Collins and Bob Cadigan that they have made it impossible for the band to perform their show to the usual high standards that their fans deserve.

More importantly, we have been informed that officials intend to enforce rules and regulations that should not and do not apply in this venue. Our production manager and crew have been in this building with Clay Aiken and Green Day and none of the restrictions imposed on Guns N' Roses were experienced by those artists. It is our opinion that they are going out of their way to target and single out Guns N' Roses and the band's loyal fans. Following consultation with the band's manager, agent and promoter, it was felt that it was best to cancel the show. It is a regrettable decision, particularly at this late notice, but it is of paramount importance that our fans have the best experience possible without being harassed and threatened.

We look forward to continuing the tour in Worcester on Wednesday."

**PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS CAN BE EXCHANGED AT THE DCU CENTER SHOW IN WORCESTER, MASS THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT - NOVEMBER 8TH. TICKETS WILL BE EXCHANGED FOR BEST AVAILABLE LOCATIONS AT THE DCU CENTER.

If you are unable to attend the Worcester show, refunds will be available at point of purchase.

MARK STRIGL INTERVIEWS FAMOUS BLABBERMOUTH POSTER "T-BONER"

"T-Boner" is one of the most famous comment posters at Blabbermouth.net. He always has a lot to say, not only in the comment sections on Blabbermouth, but also on his own site. He was kind enough to do an
interview with Talking Metal.

1. When did you start posting on Blabbermouth.net?

First off, I wanna say, through it all, this is the very very first time I really did a legitimate interview. I have spent cuntless hours promoting bands and music, going to live shows, investing my time and money and never once did anyone offer me an interview. I am not bitter because I look at things like "better
late than never." So i am a virgin no more. We're making T-Boner Hard Rock n' Horror history. ;-)
FIRST EVER INTERVIEW. Goes a lil' sumthin' like this. Hit it -- I joined/signed-up on Blabberhate about like five years ago, give or take?! Not altogether sure, but that is a guesstimation. By the way, I have been voted most legendary and most hated on Blab.

2. How much do you spend online each day?

Well, it comes n' goes. Depends on the moon n' stars. I spend a lot more time on it in the Winter months. Summertime rolls and ya gotta get while the getting's good. The computer is like my TV, and so you know folks "God is in the TV." Needless to say, I don't really watch much TV (I don't hate it, just don't watch much). I would rather be online talking about, reading about, and promoting music and meeting others like myself (a scary thought I reckon). Haha ;-)

3. Have you ever been threatened by another poster?

Yeah, but just silly stuff. Probably little 17 year olds. Just minute little threats sorta goes along with that cliche saying I learned early in grade school. "Sticks n' stones may hurt my Boner but words will not hurt me." Somthing like that?! I bet if you put a million dollars on the line and put half them Blabbies (Blabbies is a cry baby from Blabbermouth) one on one with me in a steel cage match, winner wins a million bucks -- I would surprise a lot of them. Yeah, I'm sure Blab might have some bad muther fukkers, but I'd say 80% are just blowing hot air up people's asses. Having said that I believe in peace n' harmony and would rather drink a gin n' tonic and cut-up/talk it out than fight anyone, but I would never lay down and get kicked like a dog! At times, you gotta fight and that is that. P.S. Dear Blabbies, if you don't like a band, don't go to their threads. It is that simple.

4. Do think the groups and people you post comments about actually read what you post?

I know for a fact from a good source that Sebastian Bach knows the name T-Boner and what T-Boner.com is, and I think Jizzy Pearl does as well. So does Wednesday 13. Who knows who is reading on Blab?!?! Only God knows. ;-) For the record, I make a lot of typos on Blab, and I am not the world's best fukkin speller. Never won any spelling bees in school, and they were lucky I even showed up, but it is only rock-n-roll, not rocket science. So I don't have to be a Tommy fuckfinger wearing muther fukker to love this shit and that suits me. Come as you are or don't come at all. P.S. Fukk Tommy fuckfinger for coming at Axl Rose that way!!!!

5. What are some of your favorite groups?

I could give 1000s but will just give a few (and will leave many many out. Sorry). Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses are the two single bands that are the reason you have T-Boner/T-Boner.com. If not for Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses, I would not be here today. I also really love (off the top of my head) Warrior Soul, Hanoi Rocks, Velvet Revolver, Blind Melon, Mother Love Bone, Mad Season, Rob Zombie (music & films), Marilyn Manson, Rankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, Skid Row (with and without Bach), Faster Pussycat, Love/Hate, Lizzy Borden/Starwood, Helloween (Michael Kiske "Keepers era" only), W.A.S.P., and King Diamond. I wanna add -- I love all the side projects and spin-off bands. Case n' point: Randy Piper's new band Animal (they have a cool new cd out "Violent New Breed"), and everyone should check that out! Also, be sure to tell their guitarist, Chris Laney, that T-Boner.com sent ya. ;-) He will know what ya mean. Oh and I love when singers go solo, Like Scott Weiland "12 Bar Blues", Jizzy Pearl, Sebastian Bach, Wednesday 13, Kory Clarke, Gilby Clarke (no relation to Kory), and Michael Monroe. I like what Axl is doing now (sorta solo but he does own the name Guns N' Roses) CHI.-DEM. STARTS NOW!!!! And I dig Jim Morrison and everything he stood for! Also, I really dig Alter Bridge as well. I wanna give them a shout-out!!!! Hail the U.S.A. I like many many obscure bands from all eras, way too many to dare list. Like Cats In Boots, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, and Rhino Bucket to name a few. And 1000 underground unknown Horror bands like The Deadthings, Creeping Cruds, and The Graveyard Boulevard, and I also really dig Roky Erickson. To find out more about Horror bands check this out.

6. When did you open your own site?

April 29,2004. Believe it or not, it took three months to build and get it perfect.

7. What is the last CD you bought? When did you buy it?

I pre-ordered Dirty Rig "Rock Did It" a few nights ago. Can't fukkin wait!!!! Hail Kory Clarke.

8. Have you ever posted negative comments about the hosts of the Talking Metal podcast?

Don't think so?! Never ever.

9. Do you have anything you would like to say?

Here is my full n' complete bio. Sums me up and what I stand for pretty much. I also have a Hard Rock n' Horror Music Forum. Come one. Come all. Bring your mother and girlfriend. Maybe bring two, and last but not least, I did put out a Horror Comp CD in 2006. I still need to sale a few. Pleaze buy one. ;-) Thanks for the interview, and my thought for the day is, take a little time to enjoy tha view. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Like KISS said, "God gave rock-n-roll to U2." ;-)

GUNS N' ROSES POST SHOW MESSAGE FROM MARK

Last night was awesome. Talking Metal started out at Mustang Harry’s on 7thAve around 6:30pm. Guns N' Roses fans from all over the country were meeting here for a pre-show drink. We interviewed some of them. I am not sure yet if we will use these interviews for a future podcast. We then headed up 7th Ave, across on 30th and up on 8th Ave to Hammerstein Ballroom. One of the guys we were hanging with is a friend of Baz’s and also some of the Hammerstein staff. This helped Talking Metal avoid the long lines of people waiting to get in. Within minutes, John, Emily, Chris, M, and myself were put on an elevator and taken up to one of the VIP lounges. We had a great view of the stage and enjoyed Bullet For My Valentine’s opening set.

Guns N' Roses took the stage around 11pm. This was their first show in 3.5 years. The band was the same great lineup as 2002, except now a guy I knew from the NYC/Jersey club scene had replaced Buckethead. His name is Bumblefoot. Once again, the new 3rd guitarist is Bumblefoot!!! Congratulation to Bumblefoot, From Captain T!!!!! I guess Bumble won’t be playing Images on Fairview Ave in Fairview, NJ anytime soon.

Guns N' Roses set was amazing. It was about 80% classic material and 20% new. I have seen Axl perform live numerous times since 1988 and this is the strongest his voice has ever been. At 2 hours into the set the band played "Nightrain" and Axl nailed every note without a problem. His energy was great and non-stop throughout a set that lasted well over 2 hours. I was texting messages to Keavin over at Antimusic.com from my cell as the show was going on. Check them out here.

The band felt more like a band then ever before. I was very impressed with Robin Finck. His playing was great and his look was completely different from last time. He looks cool with long hair and a full beard. Richard also played wonderfully and he seemed to have so much confidence. This band is Guns N' Roses. Everyone needs to accept this. There is no longer a guy with a top hat on stage and that is okay because this band is on fire. This band is now.

The show ended at around 1:15am. We then headed back stage with our friend Chris who is friends with Mr. Bach (by now, I’m sure you all know he joined GnR onstage for "My Michelle"). While backstage I approached Bumblefoot who I haven’t seen for about 5 years. He told me I could play his music on the podcast which is very cool. He has been rehearsing with the band for only a few weeks. We also said hello to Richard and Tommy. Richard was heading straight home from the gig with his family.

Then we headed up to John’s office to post a 4 minute post show podcast. From there, we sped uptown to a bar called American Trash to meet some friends for a drink. By the time we got there most of them had left. Dave, the bartender, let us play some GN'R on the sound system at Trash. Very cool, Thanks to Dave and Mark from American Trash!

We left American Trash at 3:45am and raced downtown to some exclusive after show parties so our friend Chris could meet up with Sebastian. We spent a couple hours drinking, mingling, and talking with various insiders and the rest of the band. Fun times.

It has come to my attention that some people think we took things a little too far with our Guns N' Roses episodes of Talking Metal. In these episodes, we only meant to poke fun at ourselves for being such fanatical Guns fans. Many elements of these episodes were exaggerated. We did stand outside of Guns N' Roses' management company and ask exiting employees if they had any information on "Chinese Democracy." Most of them greeted us with a smile and waved us off. We also entered Sterling Sound and asked if they were mastering "Chinese Democracy" and although the receptionist was annoyed for the first 10 seconds of our conversation, she then warmed up to us. Other employees stood to her side laughing at us.

We never were stalking Axl. If anything, we are just very excited by the prospect that there is going to be new Guns N' Roses material out soon. We, like most of these message board posters, are always hungry for any bit of Guns N' Roses news and we decided to kind of make fun of that fact about ourselves.

Unfortunately, I will not be at tomorrow’s show. I could not score tickets. I will be at both the Monday and Wednesday show. Last night at 5am, a certain someone told my wife that something special would be going down at the Wednesday show. I can’t wait. Stayed tuned to the Talking Metal podcast for more great interviews. - Mark Strigl

GUNS N' ROSES FRONTMAN AXL ROSE MAKES SURPISE APPEARANCE ON NEW YORK RADIO SHOW

From: Blabbermouth.net

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose made an appearance on the on Eddie Trunk's "Friday Night Rocks" radio show on New York's Q104.3 FM last night (May 5). Axl is in New York City rehearsing with the rest of the band and when Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row) was on the show, Bach invited Axl to come over to the radio station to chat. Axl joined Sebastian, Eddie, Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Chris Jericho (Fozzy frontman and former WWE wrestler) later and they spent the time talking about everything from W.A.S.P., tour memories (Skid Row opening for GN'R in New York in 1991 when Axl was late), meeting David Lee Roth, playing records and talking a bit about GN'R's future plans. Axl mentioned that GN'R were working on a new song that's not been recorded yet while rehearsing in New York. Regarding the album's release he said that it'll be out this fall or late fall. There'll be a third guitarist in the band and Izzy Stradlin might show up at the shows.
